How to Reach Trimbakeshwar: Complete Travel Guide for Devotees

Trains, flights, road routes, where to stay, what the temple timings are, and how to plan a two-night visit without rushing your puja.

Trimbakeshwar is 28 km from Nashik in Maharashtra and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas as well as the source of the Godavari.

By train

Nashik Road is the nearest railway station, well connected to Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Surat. From the station, a taxi to Trimbakeshwar takes about ninety minutes.

By air

Nashik (Ozar) airport is 50 km away with limited flights. Most devotees fly into Mumbai and drive four to five hours, or into Pune and drive five hours.

By road

The Mumbai–Nashik expressway is comfortable in all seasons. Buses run frequently from Nashik CBS to Trimbakeshwar throughout the day.

Where to stay

Simple dharamshalas and clean budget hotels are available within walking distance of the temple. We are happy to suggest options once your date is fixed.

Planning your days

Arrive the previous evening. Pujas begin between 6 and 8 in the morning depending on the muhurat. For Narayan Nagbali, plan four nights so nothing is rushed.
